Vance Tours Two Businesses for June Show

HARRISBURG – Sen. Patricia Vance's (R-Cumberland/York) June edition of the Vance Report features a tour of Gluten-Free Source and Massey's Frozen Custard.

"Both of these small businesses fill an important niche in the community," Vance said. "While Massey's has been enjoyed for generations and the Gluten-Free Source is a new business, owners of both display an enthusiastic entrepreneurial spirit. I'm delighted to be able to spotlight both businesses."

Leading the tour of Gluten-Free Source are owners Laurin and Beverly Fleming. The Dillsburg business sells more than 750 wheat-free foods products for those with wheat allergies. Customers have come from out of state to shop in the store. Owner Darlene Brown leads the tour of Massey's, which has been making and selling frozen treats since 1949. Brown was a customer of the shop as a child before acquiring the business from her sister-in-law in the late 1990s.

The show airs on Blue Ridge Communications at 6 p.m. on Tuesdays on Channel 8. Comcast Cable that serves the Shippensburg area will air the program at 4 p.m. on Thursdays on Channel 21. Comcast Cable that serves the Carlisle area will air the show at the same time but on Channel 11. York Community Access shows the program at 9 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month on Channel 16. Finally, Comcast Cable in the Greater Harrisburg area will air the program on Channel 20 with no set time schedule. You may also view it online.

Vance's district includes all of Cumberland County and Carroll, Fairview, Franklin, Monaghan, Warrington and Washington townships and Dillsburg, Franklintown and Wellsville boroughs in York County.
