FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Six Conservation Partnership Grants Awarded in 31st District, Vance SaysHARRISBURG – More than $800,000 in Community Conservation Partnership Program (CCPP) grants recently were awarded in the 31st Senatorial District, announced Sen. Pat Vance (R-Cumberland/York). "This important grant program makes recreational opportunities available in the area," Vance said. "Whether hiking the Appalachian Trail or enjoying the neighborhood playground, there are many places available to experience nature. These grants will widen the choices." The grants awarded were:
The CCPP grant program is administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources to provide financial and technical assistance to local governments, river and trail organizations, land trusts and other nonprofits for the planning, acquisition and development of park, recreation, conservation and greenways projects. Funding for these projects comes from the Keystone Recreation, Park and Conservation Fund (Key 93) or the Environmental Stewardship Act Fund (Growing Greener II). Vance's district includes all of Cumberland County and Carroll, Fairview, Franklin, Monaghan, Warrington and Washington townships and Dillsburg, Franklintown and Wellsville boroughs in York County. |
