FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Dillsburg Businesses Awarded Small Business Advantage Grant, Vance SaysHARRISBURG – A Dillsburg businesses recently was awarded more than $4,600 under the Small Business Advantage Grant Program, said Sen. Pat Vance (R-Cumberland/York). "It's financially difficult many times for small businesses to implement environmentally friendly practices," Vance said. "Through this grant program small businesses can make environmentally friendly decisions without hurting the bottom line." Village Laundry received a $4,664 grant to be used to purchase and install new high efficiency washing machines to conserve energy, water and decrease wastewater generation. The Small Business Advantage Grant Program gives a 50 percent matching grant of up to $7,500 to encourage the implementation of equipment or processes to reduce energy consumption and pollution prevention while helping to increase profitability for small businesses. The program is open to small business owners whose business or facility is located in Pennsylvania. Eligible applicants also must be for-profit business enterprises that are corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships, sole proprietorships or other legal entities that have no more than 100 employees and are a separate legal business entity at the time the application is submitted. Vance's district includes all of Cumberland County and Carroll, Fairview, Franklin, Monaghan, Warrington and Washington townships and Dillsburg, Franklintown and Wellsville boroughs in York County. |
