Rolls-Royce Foundation Highlighted in Vance TV Program

HARRISBURG – Sen. Pat Vance's (R-Cumberland/York) May edition of the Vance Report focuses on the Rolls-Royce Foundation's Research Library and Educational Museum in Mechanicsburg.

The foundation started in 1978 operates as the only research and educational facility in the nation and one of only two in the world dedicated to the display, preservation and history of Rolls-Royce and Bentley motor cars. It is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday and by appointment.

"This local treasure is definitely worth a visit," Vance said. "It is amazing the number of vehicles the foundation has been able to collect. Of special interest is the Princess Margaret 1954 Phantom IV."

Vance's show airs on Blue Ridge Communications at 6 p.m. on Tuesdays on Channel 8. Comcast Cable that serves the Shippensburg area will air the program at 4 p.m. on Thursdays on Channel 21. Comcast Cable that serves the Carlisle area will air the show at the same time but on Channel 11. York Community Access shows the program at 9 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month on Channel 16. Finally, Comcast Cable in the Greater Harrisburg area will air the program on Channel 20 with no set time schedule.

Vance's district includes all of Cumberland County and Carroll, Fairview, Franklin, Monaghan, Warrington and Washington townships and Dillsburg, Franklintown and Wellsville boroughs in York County.
