State Budget, Legislative Information Available at Vance Web Site

HARRISBURG – Information about the 2007-08 state budget and related legislation is available on Sen. Pat Vance's (R-Cumberland/York) Web site.

To access the information, visit www.senatorvance.com and click on "State Budget" in the left-hand column.

"This year we were able to contain the Governor's appetite for new spending and new programs in the 2007-08 state budget," Vance said. "While I voted against all of Governor Rendell's budgets previously, I supported this compromise plan because it is the smallest spending increase in the past five years. In addition, it provides a cost-of-living increase for MH/MR workers and greatly reduces the waiting list for those seeking MH/MR services."

The Web site also includes information on all of Vance's legislation, highway construction projects and links to state resources.

Vance's district includes all of Cumberland County and Carroll, Fairview, Franklin, Monaghan, Warrington and Washington townships and Dillsburg, Franklintown and Wellsville boroughs in York County.
