County Awarded Recycling Coordinator Grant, Vance Says

HARRISBURG – Cumberland County recently received a $27,328 County Recycling Coordinator Grant, announced Sen. Pat Vance (R-Cumberland/York).

"Cumberland County's recycling coordinator plays a vital role in organizing countywide recycling events," Vance said. "Without his efforts many of the activities such as tire recycling, appliance recycling and the household hazardous waste event would not be possible. With this state assistance, he will be able to continue his work."

he grant is used to reimburse 50 percent of the county recycling coordinator's salary and expenses.

Vance's district includes all of Cumberland County and Carroll, Fairview, Franklin, Monaghan, Warrington and Washington townships and Dillsburg, Franklintown and Wellsville boroughs in York County.
