Sadler Health Center Focus of April Vance Report

HARRISBURG – During April, the Vance Report will highlight the newly expanded and remodeled Sadler Health Center in Carlisle, said host Pat Vance (R-Cumberland/York).

Funded in part by a grant from the Carlisle Area Health and Wellness Foundation, Sadler expects to handle 20,000 medical and dental appointments this year. With the expansion, Sadler has doubled its useable clinic space.

"By providing a medical home for the uninsured and underinsured, Sadler Health Center is playing a critical role in the health and vitality of the community," Vance said. "As a nurse, I fully recognize that it is less expensive to provide ongoing care for chronic conditions, rather than address these illnesses in an emergency. With the recent expansion, Sadler is poised to serve added demand in the future."

Vance's show airs on Blue Ridge Communications at 6 p.m. on Tuesdays on Channel 8. Comcast Cable that serves the Shippensburg area will air the program at 4 p.m. on Thursdays on Channel 21. Comcast Cable that serves the Carlisle area will air the show at the same time but on Channel 11. York Community Access shows the program at 9 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month on Channel 16. Finally, Comcast Cable in the Greater Harrisburg area will air the program on Channel 20 with no set time schedule.

Vance's district includes all of Cumberland County and Carroll, Fairview, Franklin, Monaghan, Warrington and Washington townships and Dillsburg, Franklintown and Wellsville boroughs in York County.
