McCurdy's Spotlighted in Vance Program
HARRISBURG – The December edition of the Vance Report focuses on McCurdy's
Tree Farm and Landscaping in Carroll Township, York County, said host Sen. Pat
Vance (R-Cumberland/York).
The family-owned and operated business, which began in 1963 as a small
operation out of Norman McCurdy's backyard, has grown to two locations and more
than 100 acres of trees. The business also sells wreaths and other
holiday-related items.
"In addition to providing a key element for many families' holiday season,
McCurdy's employs environmentally friendly practices, such as offering free tree
recycling after the holidays and planting about three trees for every one
harvested," Vance said. "It was nice to see the extended family assisting with
all aspects of McCurdy's."
Vance's show airs on Blue Ridge Communications at 6 p.m. on Tuesdays on
Channel 8. Comcast Cable that serves the Shippensburg area will air the program
at 4 p.m. on Thursdays on Channel 21. Comcast Cable that serves the Carlisle
area will air the show at the same time but on Channel 11. York Community Access
shows the program at 9 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month on Channel 16.
Finally, Comcast Cable in the Greater Harrisburg area will air the program on
Channel 20 with no set time schedule.
