McGinley Irish Dance Focus of Vance Program

HARRISBURG – The March edition of the Vance Report will spotlight the McGinley School of Irish Dance in Lemoyne, said host Sen. Pat Vance (R-Cumberland/York).

For 10 years Lena McGinley-Crosier, who was born in Ireland, has been teaching Irish dancing in central Pennsylvania. The students perform at a variety of venues including the Harrisburg St. Patrick's Day parade and have competed in competitions throughout the world.

"The time and effort that these students put into perfecting their skills shows their dedication," Vance said. "For the fifth year in a row, dancers from the school will compete in the Irish Open Championships in Ireland. Each year the dancers have won awards in this worldwide competition."

Vance's show airs on Blue Ridge Communications at 6 p.m. on Tuesdays on Channel 8. Comcast Cable subscribers can view the program on Local Video on Demand (Get Local). Finally, York Community Access airs the program at 9 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month on Channel 16.

Vance's district includes all of Cumberland County and Carroll, Fairview, Franklin, Monaghan, Warrington and Washington townships and Dillsburg, Franklintown and Wellsville boroughs in York County.
