FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Fourteen Cumberland County Businesses to Receive Energy Efficiency Grants, Vance Says<>HARRISBURG – More than $85,000 in Small Business Energy Efficiency Grants will soon be awarded to 14 Cumberland County businesses, said Sen. Pat Vance (R-Cumberland/York)."Since electric rate caps expired in much of Cumberland County at the beginning of the year, small businesses, just as all other consumers, have been struggling to reduce consumption," Vance said. "These grants will help these businesses make smart decisions and lower energy bills thus helping their small businesses survive." The following businesses received the grants:
The grant program enables Pennsylvania small businesses to acquire pieces of equipment that promote energy efficiency through a 25 percent reimbursement grant, up to a maximum of $25,000. It is open to small business owners whose for-profit business or facility has no more than 100 employees and is a separate legal business entity. Vance's district includes all of Cumberland County and Carroll, Fairview, Franklin, Monaghan, Warrington and Washington townships and Dillsburg, Franklintown and Wellsville boroughs in York County.
