Cumberland County Awarded Recycling Grant, Vance Says

HARRISBURG – Cumberland County recently received a $31,419 County Recycling Coordinator Grant from the Department of Environmental Protection, said Sen. Pat Vance (R-Cumberland/York).

"Cumberland County is fortunate to have a vibrant recycling program for residents," Vance said. "The variety of activities allows residents to properly dispose of household waste, electronics and medications without damaging the environment."

The award will be used to reimburse 50 percent of the county recycling coordinator's salary and expenses.

Vance's district includes all of Cumberland County and Carroll, Fairview, Franklin, Monaghan, Warrington and Washington townships and Dillsburg, Franklintown and Wellsville boroughs in York County.
