Veterans Needed for Oral History Project

HARRISBURG – Cumberland Valley School District, in conjunction with the Silver Spring Veterans Committee and the Army Heritage Education Center (AHEC), is seeking any area World War II veteran to participate in an oral history project to preserve veterans' stories and provide students with a living history lesson.

Each veteran will be interviewed by a student in grades 8-12. In the future, it is hoped the project will be expanded to include veterans of other conflicts.

Vance's district includes all of Cumberland County and Carroll, Fairview, Franklin, Monaghan, Warrington and Washington townships and Dillsburg, Franklintown and Wellsville boroughs in York County.
